BLOOM is a women’s gathering by Mama Ocean, where we come together in sisterhood to pray, sing, dance, and honor the waters of life.
Guided by the wisdom of ancestral indigenous traditions we will awaken the voice of the soul and immerse ourselves in practices that nourish the body and spirit.
The Ceremonial Guide offers insight into some of the practices woven into our retreat— especially those that may include plant medicine— along with the dieta and preparations needed to enter this journey with clarity and reverence.
Tune into the journey through the vibrations of our music and the songs of our family in the BLOOM YAWA Playlist
Temazcal - Sweatlodge
Guided by the wisdom of the four elements, the Temazcal is an ancestral purification ceremony—a sacred steam bath held in the womb of Mother Earth. Through heat, prayer, chants, and silence, we cleanse body, mind, and spirit, remembering the origin of life: Atlachinoli, the sacred union of water and fire.
Inside the lodge, we pray with herbal medicines, honoring silence and using our voices only for prayer and song when guided.
Our Temazcal takes place in a rare and beautiful setting on a private beach. As the ceremony completes, we step from the warmth of the lodge directly into the cool embrace of the ocean, allowing the sea to seal the purification and awaken the body.
Held in the fertile darkness of the New Moon, this ceremony offers a powerful moment to release, renew, and set intentions for the cycle to come.
For the Temazcal, women traditionally wear long dresses or light cotton tunics to protect the skin from the steam.
Herbal Bath & Infusions
A sacred cleansing ritual prepared with medicinal plants and flowers, each chosen for its unique qualities of protection, grounding, clarity, and heart-opening.
Offered as a preparation for the Uni Ceremony, this bath helps release stagnant energies and open the body’s channels for deeper connection. The warm infusion of plants gently restores balance and brings the body into a state of presence and receptivity.
Traditionally, we do not shower after the bath until the following morning, allowing the plants’ perfumes and energies to continue working through the night.
Throughout the retreat we will also share homemade herbal infusions, prepared with prayer and intention. Many of these plants are lovingly grown in our own gardens and crafted into blends that support cleansing, nourishment, and wellbeing.
Uni Ceremony
A sacred encounter with the Amazonian plant medicine known as Uni, held within the ancestral lineages of the Yawanawá tradition and the Madha spiritual path of the Brazilian Amazon.
As the sun sets, we gather in ceremony and begin with traditional ah’ries and saitis—sacred healing chants that invoke protection, alignment, and connection with the spiritual realms.
Uni, often known as Abuelita Aya, is a wise and loving teacher who often acts as a mirror, gently revealing what lives within us and supporting the release and transformation of what is ready to heal. Through visions, sensations, and inner guidance, she invites us into deeper remembrance of our true nature.
Throughout the night, the journey is carried by ancestral chants, medicine music, and sacred prayers, with herbal smudges and energetic cleansings supporting the process.
As the ceremony unfolds, the space gradually opens into collective singing and gentle movement, allowing the medicine to integrate through the body and voice.
When we are going to pray with the Uni, we prepare by doing special “dietas” to receive her and honor her inside of our bodies. This is how we present ourselves to her spirit, by taking care of our mind, body and emotions.

Flower & Song Chocoyote Ceremony
A circle of song, prayer, and presence, where we gather to open our hearts and celebrate the beauty of simply being. Together we arrive fully in the moment—singing, moving, and flowing with the elements.
Guided by the heart-opening medicines of cacao and peyollotl, we enter a musical journey of offerings, prayers, and blessings.
Within this circle we receive the Mexica teaching of Xochitl in Cuicatl—Flower & Song, a blessing that nourishes the soul and transforms energy through the living wisdom of flowers.
Ancestral Voices
A space to awaken the voice and reconnect with the living tradition of ancestral song.
Guided by Delfina and Waxy, we explore chants and medicine music from the lineages and traditions they carry, learning their melodies, meanings, and pronunciation while honoring the wisdom of their origins.
Singing is a natural medicine for women—a way to connect with our cycles, with the plants, the animals, and the living spirit of the Earth. As daughters of the Mother, we remember the voice as a bridge between our bodies and the natural world.
Alongside the study of these ancestral chants, we open space for free vocal expression and improvisation, allowing the voice to move freely and the song that lives within each woman to emerge.
Through shared singing, listening, and practice, we learn to sing to the spirit of life
(We suggest to bring notebook and pen!)
Conscious Movement, Yin Yoga & Sound Healing
Gentle movement and deep stretching support the integration of the energies that move through us during ceremony, helping us calm the mind and return to the wisdom of the body.
Through conscious movement, Yin Yoga, sound healing, and dance, we balance our energy, regulate the nervous system, and open space for deep relaxation and presence—preparing ourselves to receive the visions and wisdom the plants reveal.
Mama Ocean
For us, the sea is a presence that transforms everything. Living by her side, bathing in her salt-purifying waters, and swimming in her embrace fills us with new energy, hope, and love. Her vastness, magnificence, and beauty are a constant source of inspiration.
Naya, our sanctuary by the sea, is just a 5-minute walk from a divine, secluded beach. The ocean awaits, ready to receive us—whether individually or as a group—to her shores, where we can sing, offer our prayers, and honor her boundless wisdom.
This, and so much more. Some things are beyond description. We are feeling so blessed for this journey.
Pura Vida hermana!
