—Natural Beauty and Prayerful Intention

Opening Temazcal

Harnessing the energy of the four elements, the sweat lodge is a traditional purification ceremony, as a sacred steam bath with chants and prayers. A deep cleanse of mind, body and spirit in the womb of the Earth.

Uni Ceremony

A beautiful opportunity to be embraced by the feminine force of the medicine of the Amazon, guided by the icaros or ah’ries, chants of the healing rainforest plants. A profound and sacred time to align with our spirituality, clear and cleanse our minds and bodies, connecting with the invisible world within and around us, fortifying our vision.

We will start in the early evening and continue past midnight. The ceremony opens with traditional chants that invoke protection and healing of the participants. Later into the evening inviting musical instruments, medicine music and dance. We will also be offering the rapé (hapé) medicine and natural perfumes/smudges.

Hikuri Ceremony

These ceremonies are powerful community prayers that aid us in manifesting our good intentions and a path of beauty, by holding positive thoughts, transforming and connecting with the elements in gratitude and celebration. We will have prayers with four tobaccos and half moon altar, sacred water and fire, with the peyote’s heart opening guidance.

On a physical level, this medicine is an antiviral, antibiotic, balances hormones and enhances cell functions, growth and repair, as well as creating a natural state of well-being on a mental, physical and emotional level.

The ceremony will start in the evening and go on until sunrise. During the following day we will receive a closing with the Flower Blessing in the way of the Mexicatl Xochitl in Cuicatl.

Song Circles & Native Wisdom Sharing

The workshops offer a rare opportunity to learn from the Teocali Quetzalcoatl altar and the Peyote traditions. Guided by elder and ceremonial guardian Kuauhtli, we will explore the spiritual art of fire keeping, the meanings behind altar and fire designs, and the cosmology and Nahuatl language that carry the essence of this path rooted in love.

Alongside this, Delfina will guide us in connecting to our ancestral voice through sacred song — offering tools for pronunciation, meaning, and the spirit behind each chant. We’ll gather in a circle of deep listening, learning songs sung in ceremony, and receiving practices for integrating these teachings and plant medicine experiences into our daily lives.

All levels are welcome. Instruments are invited.

Conscious Movement

Through breath, presence, and intentional movement, we create space for the energy stirred in ceremony to flow and integrate. Gentle practices like yoga, qigong, and embodied dance support us in grounding, releasing, and reconnecting with the wisdom of the body. These sessions invite us to return to center, listen within, and move from the heart — allowing spirit to land in our cells and prayers to take root in form.

  • Delfina’s melodies and heartwarming voice linger beyond ceremonies, inspiring and empowering women. A visionary artist, her music and paintings weave healing, transformation, and the mystery of praying with sacred plants and animals. Rooted in Puelmapu and deepened by her Amazonian studies, her ancestral voice carries the wisdom of her Yawanawa and Madha elders into ceremonies worldwide.

As keeper of the Teocali Quetzalcoatl altar, Delfina travels Abya Yala - Anahuak, praying for the waters and preserving land and culture with deep love. Through song, she honors spiritual alliances and ancestral healing, fostering remembrance and the re-cultivation of indigenous traditions.

Location

Yacumama Eco-villa

Ojochal, Puntarenas, Costa Rica

Yacumama — “Mother of the Waters” in Quechua — is a sanctuary of remembrance. A sacred land devoted to community, healing, and deep connection with the Earth and all life. It is a home for transformational experiences rooted in beauty, prayer, and the evolution of consciousness.

Nestled 1,000 feet above sea level on Costa Rica’s Pacific coast, Yacumama is cradled by lush mountains and nourished by abundant spring waters. A creek flows gently to the west, while to the east, a vibrant river with cascades and natural pools invites immersion and renewal. The land holds panoramic ocean views, cool forest breezes, and a rich ecosystem teeming with life — half of its nearly 100 acres remain untouched forest.

Just 10–20 minutes away, pristine beaches where jungle meets the sea offer warm, crystal-clear waters for swimming and surfing. This is ancestral land — home to relics of the Boruca people, one of Costa Rica’s eight original tribes. Their presence can still be felt in the spirit of the land.

Yacumama is a living, breathing prayer of pure natural beauty.
